Attorney Profile

Angela Lee, Esq.

Angela Lee (she/hers) graduated at the top of her class from New York University with a B.A. in Sociology and Philosophy. She obtained her law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law, nationally ranked the #1 law school for Trial Advocacy. Angela took active leading roles during law school as the Member and Editor of the Temple International Comparative Law Journal, Co-Chaired two National Lawyers Guild chapters (Immigration and Workers Rights).

Knowing she wanted to venture back out west, she studied at the University of New Mexico School of Law for her final semester. In 2017, she fell in love with the San Luis Valley and its great outdoors, and never left.

Prior to opening her law office, Angela obtained valuable judicial experience in the San Luis Valley’s own 12th Judicial District Court, working with judges, drafting judicial opinions, conducting complex legal research, and learning about the legal needs and landscape of the region. She also has diverse experience in federal immigration courts, private law firms both big and small, as well as nonprofit legal organizations.

She is known for her strong research and writing skills honed from working with esteemed judges, and is now using her skill set to fiercely advocate for her clients.

Prior to starting her solo practice, Angela gained experience and mentorship from attorneys Karl Kuenhold and former 12th District Chief Judge, John Kuenhold, on a variety of civil matters. She founded her firm in 2021 and continues to serve the greater San Luis Valley (SLV) region.

Angela is an active member of the SLV community: She is the co-founder of the San Luis Valley Climbers Alliance non-profit organization, the co-founder of the Mercado Del Norte Farmers Market, and sits on a number of boards and committees related to community and local business development. Angela spends most of her free time in nature; she loves rock climbing, river surfing and fly fishing on the Rio Grande, growing food and raising hogs on her homestead farm, and riding fresh powder on Wolf Creek Pass.
